Professional Information
Dr. Cheyne is trained in emergency medicine
and family practice and has a special interest in sports medicine. He has performed free athletic physicals for thousands of area athletes over the years. Many of those athletes were stimulated to become associated with the medical profession as physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, etc.

In addition to spearheading the sports medicine program, Dr. Cheyne focuses on conservative treatment of back injuries and occupational injuries.

Personal Information
Dr. Cheyne was born in Springdale, Arkansas.
He lives in Fort Smith with his wife. He was an
All- Southwest Conference punter at the University
of Arkansas and has been known to do some coaching.
